Data Rights
Use this page to request deletion of personal data handled by Rootel, including data received through Meta products such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, or WhatsApp integrations.
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Submit a deletion request
- Email privacy@rootel.ai with the subject line 'Rootel data deletion request'.
- Include your name, email address, phone number if relevant, business or workspace name, and the Meta page, Instagram account, WhatsApp Business account, or conversation identifier involved if you have it.
- Tell us whether you are requesting deletion of your Rootel account data, workspace data, Meta-related user data, or a specific customer conversation.
- If you are an end user who interacted with a business using Rootel, identify the business so we can route the request correctly.
What happens next
- We will acknowledge the request and may ask for reasonable verification to protect against unauthorized deletion.
- If Rootel controls the data, we will delete or anonymize eligible personal data from active systems within 30 days unless a shorter period is required by law.
- If Rootel processes the data on behalf of a business customer, we may forward the request to that customer or act on their documented instruction.
- Backups, audit logs, billing records, abuse-prevention records, and legal records may be retained for a limited period when required for security, compliance, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
Meta app data deletion
If you connected or interacted with Rootel through a Meta product, you can request deletion of data received from Meta by emailing privacy@rootel.ai. This page is intended to serve as Rootel's public data deletion instructions URL for Meta App Review.
Disconnecting Meta integrations
- Rootel customers can disconnect Meta channels from their Rootel workspace where integration controls are available.
- You may also manage app and business integrations from your Meta account, Facebook Page, Instagram account, WhatsApp Business settings, or Meta Business Manager.
- Disconnecting an integration stops future data flow where technically supported, but it does not automatically delete historical Rootel records unless you also submit a deletion request.
Data we may delete
- Account profile information associated with the requester.
- Conversation records, message content, attachments, summaries, labels, and routing data where deletion is permitted.
- Meta identifiers and webhook event records associated with the requester or connected business asset.
- Integration tokens and authorization records when an integration is disconnected or a workspace is closed.
